This wellness wake-up smoothie is my go to recipe to jump start my morning with a delicious, easy and nutrient dense breakfast. I love this recipe because all of the ingredients are simple and accessible, most of us have them in our kitchen on a daily basis, and you can easily substitute the frozen berry mix for any frozen or fresh fruits!
This smoothie is vegan but of course you can substitute and use regular milk or another liquid such as water or soy milk. Using Maca powder gives this smoothie it’s extra kick as Maca is a superfood from the Andes in Peru and is highly nutritious. Maca is a great source of Vitamin C, copper and iron it is also known to enhance your mood and increase your energy.
