With the season of house guests, gatherings, and visiting family upon us, we’re all looking for ways to feed a crowd. This simple french toast bake recipe is perfect for that! Everyone will love waking up to this delicious, sweet treat, and you won’t have to stand over the stove forever making 30 individual pieces of french toast! Winning!
This recipe the perfect opportunity to wake up a little earlier than everyone else, and enjoy a nice, quiet, hot cup of coffee while making it. Then, you can throw it in the oven and your work is done. Everyone will love starting their day with right-from-the-oven french toast – including you.
Ingredients
- 1 loaf french bread (cut into 1″ cubes)
- 8 eggs
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1 Tbs vanilla
- 2 Tsp cinnamon
- 1 cup blueberries
Crumble Topping
- 1/3 cup flour
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 6 Tbs cold butter, cut into small squares
Directions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the eggs, milk, cream, brown sugar, & cinnamon. Whisk to combine.
- Cube bread into 1″ squares. Add into bowl along with the blueberries. Toss to combine and let sit for a few minutes until most of the liquid is absorbed into the bread.
- In a small bowl, combine all of the ingredients for the crumble topping. Mix together using a pastry cutter, two forks, or even your hands until the mixture is combined into a sandy texture and pea size.
- Spray a 13×9 pan with non-stick spray and pour the bread mixture into it. Top with crumble topping.
- Bake at 350 for 45-50 minutes.
